Services for Ola Mae Strickland were held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Little Bless Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Strickland, 84, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, SC, October 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joe Clark and Caroline Jackson Clark. She attended the Dillon Church of God, and was the widow of William Vernie “Bud” Strickland.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy Jackson, Alene (Larry) Cox, both of Latta, Annie Mae (Troy) Gardner of Myrtle Beach, Wilma (Dan) Byrd of Latta, William (Glenda) Strickland of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Sheila Settle, James Wallace, Truman Carter, James Timothy Nolan, Donna Hargrove, Lisa Austin, John Boyd, Heather Brown, and Ceara Strickland; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Wallace of Wallace, SC, and Vera Rockett of High Point, NC; brother, James Clark of High Point, NC; special friend, David Owens.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie, Josie, Lenneau, Bill, Carlyle, and Major Clark; and sister, Dora Mae Lovett.
