WILLISTON—Funeral services for Lizzie Carter Sweat, 90, formerly of Dillon, SC will be held 6 PM, Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Sardis Baptist Church, Latta, SC; burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Dillon, SC. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Thursday at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. Mrs. Lizzie passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015.
Born in Latta, SC, she was a daughter of the late Rufus B. Carter and Odie C. Carter and was the widow of Willie Sweat. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and was previously active with the Council on Aging in Dillon.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley Ann (Charles) Lane of Latta, SC, Janice Sweat Dooley of Williston, SC; grandchildren, Maverick Sweat, Lynn Billings, Phyllis Postman, Karen Green, William Pollock, Charles Dooley II, Brian Sweat, James Sweat, Kelly Brown, 20 great grandchildren; 24 great, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by a son, William McArthur Sweat and a son-in-law, Charles Dooley.
