Eloise Johnson Lane, 85, died at Duke Medical University in Durham, North Carolina, Thursday, October 15, 2015.
Funeral services were 3:00  graveside at Old Ebenezer Church Cemetery on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Family will receive friends after the service. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta is assisting the family,
Mrs. Lane was born in Marion County on August 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Isla Mae Butler and Val D. Johnson. She was a nurse with the Dillon County Health Department for many years. Mrs. Lane was a member of the Latta Southern Methodist Church.  Eloise is survived by her husband, C. Maurice Lane, of the home; son, Wendell Lane (Debbie) of Florence, S.C.; daughters, Laurice Brigman of Latta, S.C., Joan Allen (Ronnie), of Latta, S.C., and Rella Weaver (Vernie) of Darlington, S.C., brother, Kline Johnson (Dot) of Latta, S.C.; sister, Shelby Baxley (C.M.) of Marion, S.C.; grandchildren, Robyn Moore (Garry), Jenny Allen, Merrette Dowdell (Matt), Landis Lane, Paige McEachin (Peter), and Drew Weaver; great grandchildren, Lane Dowdell and Margaret McEachin; and good friend, Della Bethea. She is predeceased by a brother, Lafon Johnson and sisters, Beatrice Johnson and Dorothy Bryant.
