A celebration of life for  Virginia Gladys Wilkerson will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilkerson, 80, died Monday, November 9, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon, SC, February 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Moore and Pauline Cottingham Moore.  She was the widow of the late John Wilkerson.
Survivors include her children, Dianne Herring of Dillon, Danny Ray Hunt of Burlington, NC, Mary Faye Powell of Dillon, and Barbara Ann Barfield of Graham, NC; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Moore of Dillon; sisters, Linda Hyatt, Imogene Miller, both of Dillon, and Mildred Phillips of Florence.
Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Hunt; grandchild, Melissa Danyelle Herring; and her brothers and sisters, Buddy Moore, Frances Baker, Willowdean Cottingham, Sarah Hunt, and Billy Carlisle Moore.
