Lloyd Lindsay, 79, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at McLeod Hospice House of the Pee Dee.
Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m.. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at First Baptist Church with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Lindsay was born in Rex, NC on June 7, 1936, the son of the late William Arthur and Thelma Alberta Rogers Lindsay.  Lloyd was a member of First Baptist Church of Dillon and retired from Dillon County School System.  He was the widower of Vernelle Price Lindsay.
He is survived by his daughter, Clara L. Sanchez (Carlos) of Dillon, SC; grandchildren, Rickie Alexander Sanchez, Rebecca Lindsay Sanchez, and H. Thomas Price Lindsay; great-grandchild, Ian Channing Sanchez, brother, David Lindsay of Dillon, SC; and sister Evelyn L. Frease of Fayetteville, NC.  He was predeceased by his son, Lloyd Thomas Lindsay; brother, Raymond Lindsay, Horace Lindsay, LeGrand Lindsay, and Wade Lindsay; and sisters, Thelma Deparolis and Louise McLean.
