Services for Virginia Hardy Owens will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pyerian Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Owens, 88, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Hardy and Eva Dillon Hardy.  She was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church, and was retired from Mohawk Carpet.  She was the widow of Fitchue Owens.
Survivors include her children, Geraldine Grimsley of Thomasville, NC, Kenny (Kathy) Owens of Latta, and Sherry (Leo) Todd of Hopkins, SC; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her sons, Lovitt Andrew Owens,  Thomas Owens, and Robbie Owens; brothers and sister, Rev. Lafon Hardy,  Ralph Hardy, and Eva Mae Watson.
