Services for Edna Cottingham Sapp will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Sapp, 89, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Douglas Cottingham, Sr. and Katie Hamilton Cottingham. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, and also a member of McLeod Hospital Auxiliary. She was the widow of Jack Sapp.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Sapp (Teresa) of North Myrtle Beach, David Sapp (Darcy S. Graham) of Georgetown, and Johnny Sapp (Kathy) of Dillon; grandchildren, John, Alycia, and Kara Sapp, Michael and Paul Sapp, Lindsay and Joel Sapp; great-grandchildren, Becca, John Douglas Sapp, III, Hunter, Kaitlyn, Lauryn, Micah, Olivia, Ella, and Emma Kate; brother, Rufus Douglas “Buddy” Cottingham, Jr. of Dillon.
Memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536.
