The fire department was called to the Best Western in Oak Grove on Tuesday evening. According to Station Nine (Oak Grove) Fire Chief Larry Cox, a hazy smoke was reported on the first floor of the Best Western at about 10 p.m., but no fire or hot spots were found. Approximately 80 guests were temporarily evacuated. Station Two (Latta) and Station One (Dillon) assisted Station Nine.
