The Dillon Wildcats varsity softball team dropped 8-2 loss in Dillon on Wednesday, March 9, against the Hartsville Red Foxes.
The game was tied 2-2 going into the seventh inning when Hartsville’s Jessica McWhorter drove in Myra McDowell from third  on a dropped ball in the outfield by the Wildcats.
The Red Foxes’ Cayla Drotar struck out 5 while pitching 2 scoreless innings to pick up the win.  She also hit a 3-run homer.
