The Latta junior varsity softball team defeated the Dillon junior varsity team 13-2 in action on Wednesday at Latta.
In the top of the second inning Dillon’s Yazmine Hardwick hit a grounder down the third base line for a double and a rbi.
After 2 and 1/2 innings Latta led 8 to 2.
In the bottom of the third Latta’s only base runner was #23 who reached on a walk.
In the top of the fourth, Dillon’s Catie Martin was hit-by-a-pitch to arrive at first but proved to be no threat as Dillon left runners on first and second.
Latta picked up 5 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to lead Dillon 13-2.
The final was Latta 13 and Dillon 2.
