Services for Leona McCormick Mills were held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Waccamaw House of Worship Cemetery in Bucksport, SC.  Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mills, 94, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Horry County, SC, May 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George Cornelious McCormick and Fannie Cook McCormick.
Survivors include her sons, Phillip Larry Mills of Key Colony Beach, FL, Francis Benjamin “Doogie” Mills, and Richard Lee Mills, both of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter, Donna George Edwards of Latta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clarence Mills; and her children, Patricia Mills Daniels, Jesse Clarence Mills, Jr., Kenneth Edward Mills, Jessie Lee Mills, and Sherrie Lee Mills.
