Vernie P. Alford, 77, died Monday, March 28, 2016, at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Shiloh Church Chapel in Oak Grove with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 p.m.. Wednesday at Shiloh Chapel Church.
Born in Dillon County, March 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Eugene Alford and Daisy Elizabeth Burr Alford.  He was a member of Shiloh Chapel Church.
Survivors include, Virginia Clark of Latta; daughters, Jennifer Dixon and Donna Sue Monohan both of Latta; sisters, Dorothy Jean Abbott of Dillon, Stella Clark of Latta, and Carolyn Parrimore of Georgia; brothers, Jimmy Alford, Larry Craig Alford, and Gene Ray Alford all of Latta, William Alford of Chesterfield, Everette Wayne Alford of Dillon, and Anthony Alford of Latta.
