Edward “Ed” Irving Crew, 100, died April 3, 2016 at his residence. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Mr. Crew was born in New York, New York on November 20, 1915, the son of the late George and Louise Muller Crew. He was a retired Bus Driver for the New York Transit Authority and formally resided in Ascutney, Vermont. Ed served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was Episcopalian. Mr. Crew was married to the late Helen Blair Crew for seventy-two years. He enjoyed boating for many years but never learned to water ski until his daughter taught him when he was fifty years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Felter (Ronald) of Dillon, SC; grandchild, Brian Edward Felter of Blooming Grove, NY; and great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Lian, and Ryan Felter. He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
