Barbara McCracken Gasque, 71, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at McLeod Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 6, 1944 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Willie and Mary Holden McCracken.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Emogene McCracken.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was employed with Dillon County Detention Center for many years and loved every minute of it. She also enjoyed cooking and always willing to help others.
Mrs. Gasque is survived by two children, Sgt. Major Jesse “Buddy” Gasque (Anna) of Marion and Sherrie Gasque of Latta; four sisters, Esther Gandy (Leon) of Aynor, Willa Mae Holmes of Conway, Linda Prince of NC and Mary Frances McPherson (Charles) of NC; two grandchildren, Samuel Elijah Gasque and Holden Bane Gasque.
A Graveside Service washeld 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steven Gilchrist officiating.
