Services for Vernon Grimsley, Sr. will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Grimsley, 80, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, April 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Dot Hubbard.
Survivors include his children, Terry (Eddie) Brown of Tabor City, NC, Michele (Charles) Britt, Vernon Grimsley, Jr., Valerie (Darryl) Miller, Timmy (Terry) Grimsley, Madge (Mike) Hamer, all of Dillon, Paulette (Kyle) Nulman of Chapin, SC, and Patrick (Leigh) Grimsley of Fort Mill, SC;  17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; special friend, Jinny Watford; sisters, Ann Campbell, and Janice Claytor; brother, Glenn Hubbard.
Mr. Grimsley was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Grimsley; and his grandson, Kristopher Michael Britt.
