CHAPIN – Funeral services for Marguerite Moore Meetze, 75, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends after the service.  Memorials may be made to St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, 844 Columbia Avenue, Chapin, SC  29036 or the Audubon Society.
    Mrs. Meetze was born January 14, 1941 in Latta, SC and passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Clancy W. Moore and Virginia Thomas Moore. She retired from SCE&G. Her favorite things included gardening, planting plants, bird watching, collecting arrowheads, fishing and traveling to the mountains. She sang in the church choir and was a youth leader at the church as well.
    Ms. Meetze is survived by her daughters, Caroline Anderson (William), Virginia Peeples, and Doris Oder (Aaron); grandchildren, Andrew Peeples (Nicki) and Kristin Peeples; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Copeland Peeples, and Alexander Sebree; two brothers and two sisters. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph David “Buddy” Meetze, Jr. and a grandson, Christopher Joseph Rauch.
    Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
