The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces that a section of US-301 between I-95 and SC 9 in Dillon County will be closed for bridge construction.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 18, 2016. Barring any unforeseen delays, the bridge should reopen by Aug. 14, 2016.
Barricades will be placed on the south end of Kentyre Road allowing access to US-301 from Kentyre Road and approximately 1,200 feet from existing bridge on the other end. Several parts of this will still be accessible during the closure, but traffic will not be able to cross the actual bridge. A detour route will be in place to guide traffic.
For additional information, the public may contact the Dillon County Construction Office at 843-774-7979.
