Mr. Kline Johnson, 89, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends at Davy & Shelley Johnson’s, 114 Heather Road, Latta, SC 29565.
Born in Marion County, SC, April 10, 1927, he was the son of the late James Laval Johnson and Ila Butler Johnson.  Before his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver for Sonoco Company in Hartsville, SC.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his second wife, Dorothy Berry Johnson; four sons, Mike, David (Betty Jo), Danny, and Val (Ann) Johnson of Latta, SC; step-son, Burke (Tony) Berry (Sissy) of Cheraw, SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special family friend, Marcia S. Johnson; sister, Shelby Baxley (CM) of Marion, SC.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Stephens Johnson; son, Stephen Kendall Johnson; sisters, Dorothy Bryant, Eloise Lane, and Beatrice Johnson; brother, James Lafon Johnson; special daughter-in-law, Wanda G. Johnson.
