Beatrice Jackson Leonard

Beatrice Jackson Leonard, 91, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Friday. She was raised in Dillon, SC, where several family members still reside. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Franklin Welch and Howard Leonard, foster child, James Ford, and four sisters.
Beatrice owned and operated several businesses in Huntsville, including grocery stores and cafes, and was the last owner of Yarbrough Hotel.    
Survivors include her daughter, Sudie Johnson (Robert); sons, Russell Welch (Joanie) and Richard Welch, seven grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two special foster children, Doug Farley and Christopher Brown.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 10 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. No other services are planned.  (www.laughlinservice.com)
