Services for Peggy Jean Powers will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powers, 65, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Marion County, SC, May 23, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Porter and Sadie Mae Cook Porter. She was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Powers of Dillon; daughter, Vickie Lee Herring of Dillon; son, Billy Wayne Porter (Henrietta Samm) of Missouri; granddaughter, Jessica Paradise; sister, Betty Ann Lane of Dillon; brother, Bernice (Shirley) Porter of Dillon; nieces and nephews, Bobbie Hargrove, Glinnis Cook, Brenda Bass, Mary Sue Cook, Buddy Cook, Tammy Cook, Timothy (Jeanette) Hopson, Diane Cook, Daniel Hargrove, Kimberly Lane, Bo and Sandy Cook, and many more.
