Mr. Reuben Rogers died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at his home in Lake View SC, after an illness.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake View United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View
Mr. Rogers was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Archie Boyd and Carrie Edwards Rogers.  He was a member of Lake View United Methodist Church and the American Legion.  He was also a US Army Veteran where he served in World War II.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his son, Reuben Rogers (Vonnie); daughters, Carrie Sue Walshock, Honey Edge (Glenn), and Kit Bullock (Gregg); grandchildren, Jodi Watson, Cory Meekins, Lindsey Meekins, Haley Walshock, Mills and Trayce Rogers, Meredith and Ed Lefler, and Shawna Rowles; great grandchildren, Kahle and Kaley Watkins, Madison and J.D. Ashmore, Tristan and Dylan Rowles, Stevie Baker, Holden Lee, and Annie Mills Rogers.; numerous nieces and nephews: and his longtime canine pal, Buddy.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Rogers and a great granddaughter, Ella Lee Lefler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake View United Methodist Church or to Patriots Hospice.
