Mrs. Gladys C. Hyman 88, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at The Pruitt Nursing Home of Dillon after an Illness.
A funeral service was held Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lake View Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial will be at the Lake View Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.  The family received friends at 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Mrs. Hyman was born in Marion County the daughter of the late Tillman and Annie Miles Cooper. She was a member of Lake View Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Lake View Schools where she served many years as a cafeteria assistant.  She was dedicated to both her church and her job.
Mrs. Hyman is survived by her son; Samuel E. Hyman; daughters, Brenda Bucy, Ebbie H. Prater (Donald); Sharon H. Moody (Chris) and Bonnie H. Elliott (Russell); brothers, Lafon Cooper, Wendell Cooper (Pat), and Bonnie Pete Cooper (Linda); sisters, Marie Franklin (Bill), Denise Goodwin (Michael) and Eva Costella; 15 grandchildren and14 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Thorne Retirement Home and the staff at Pruitt Nursing Home and Hospice.
