Services for Charlie Monroe Herring were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Herring, 68, died Monday, February 27, 2017 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 17, 1948, he was the son of the late David Bernard Herring and Addie Mae Williamson Herring. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dianne Herring of Dillon; daughter, Lori (Timothy) Hyatt of Dillon; son, Monroe (Katie) Herring of Dillon; grandchildren, Philip Monroe Herring, Timothy Jordan Hyatt, Corey Dalton Hyatt, Patrick Neal Herring, and Charley Morgan Herring; brother, James “Son” Herring of Dillon; sister, Mary “Mae” Powers of Dillon.
Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Danyelle Herring; sisters, Sarah Morris and Margaret McNeil; brother, Horace Herring.
