Mary Harris Townsend, 57, of Charlotte was called home on Monday, February 20, 2017.
Born on January 3, 1960 to Matthew McLean and Mary and Eddie Kirby. 
She graduated from Dillon High School and attended St. Augustine College in Raleigh, NC. She was currently attending Miller-Mott Business College.
Mary was married to Kenneth Wayne Townsend, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children: Martina Shikharri Harris (Charlotte, NC), Jessica Harris (Rock Hill, SC), and Kenneth Townsend, Jr. of Dillon; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Kirby (Dillon); siblings, Rev. James (Annette) McDowell (Dillon, SC), Doris Winston (Atlanta, GA) and Dr. Eddie (Crystal) Kirby, Jr. (San Antonio, TX), William (Carolyn) Rogers; grandson, Anthony Goodlow, Jr.; aunts, Ella Rogers and Magaline Merchant (Lake View, SC), Mollie McDowell and Romell McNeil (Fairmont, NC), and Martha Coleman (St. Albans, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
