The Lake View Wild Gators traveled to Turbeville on Monday, March 20, and left town with a 7-2 victory over the East Clarendon Wolverines varsity baseball team.
The Gators’ Nick Collins pitched a complete game allowing only 2 hits, 2 runs of which were earned, and struck out 11 in the win.
The Wolverines’ Hunter Lee was tagged with the loss while pitching 6 and 2/3 innings. He allowed 9 hits, 3 runs of which were earned, and struck out 3.
The Lake View Wild Gators were guilty of 2 errors, and the East Clarendon Wolverines were guilty of 3 errors.
De’Ante Bridgett connected for a double and a rbi in 4 at-bats for Lake View while Justin Elliott garnered 2 hits in 4 at-bats. Nick Collins connected for a triple in 4 at-bats.
Hunter Lee connected for 2 hits in 3 at-bats for the Wolverines.
The Lake View Wild Gators are 6-2, and 2-1 in Region 6-A.
The Gators will travel to Hannah Pamplico on Tuesday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m.
