A man killed in an officer-involved shooting in the Lake View area has been identified.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the deceased as James Gerald Davis, a 40-year-old white male, of Lake View.
SLED (State Law Enforcement Division) confirmed Thursday that they were investigating the matter at the request of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. No further information was available.
