During the 2017-2018 school year, Dillon Christian School is partnering with Francis Marion University to offer Teacher Cadet as a Dual Enrollment Course to senior students.
In addition to students receiving AP credit at DCS, these students are also enrolled at Francis Marion University and will receive three semester hours of college credit for Education 190, “The Student, The School, and The Community.”
The goal of Teacher Cadet is to encourage academically gifted students to consider teaching as a career. In addition, the program strives to develop future community leaders who will become advocates for education.
“As a former Teacher Cadet, I am excited to partner with Francis Marion University to offer this amazing opportunity to DCS students,” stated Head of School Amanda Mussman.
