On Sunday, January 7, 2018 at approximately 3:25 a.m. deputies with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to an Armed Robbery at the Alco Store located on Highway 38 in Latta according to Cliff Arnette, Captain, Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. According to an incident report by 1st Sgt. Ricky Day, store employees stated that two armed masked suspects entered the store and demanded money. Assisting at the scene were deputies Kernard McLellan, Shyta Bethae and Investigator Allan Rogers.
