Two bodies were located in a structure fire that occurred early Sunday, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday, January 14, 2018, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Fire Department Station 4, and Floyd Dale Fire Department were dispatched to a structure fire at 1301 Dusk Drive in Dillon at approximately 3:25 a.m.
During the firefighting efforts, the bodies of two individuals were located in the residence.
The Dillon County Coroner was notified about the deaths. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the deceased as John Quinn, a 74-year-old white male, and Ina Ruth Quinn, a 79-year-old white female. He said they both died as a result of a house fire.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Coroner’s Office, SLED, and the S.C. Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating the fire.
