On Monday, March 5, 2018 just before 6:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a mobile home park on Oakey Point Road in Latta in reference to someone being shot, said Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
According to an incident report by deputies Dennis Cox, Tim George, and Kernard McLellan, when deputies arrived at the incident location it was determined that a shooting had occurred, and one person was shot and was taken by vehicle to McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Deputy Tim George and Investigator Shannon Grainger responded to the hospital to make contact with the victim.
