The Dillon Christian School Warriors returned home Friday, April 20, after suffering a 15-0 loss in varsity baseball action in Mullins.
The Golden Eagles’ Garrett McDaniels pitched a no-hitter and struck out 8 and walked 2.
Jared Darmon was charged with the loss. He pitched 3 and 2/3 innings and allowed 6 hits, 5 runs of which only 1 was earned, walked 2, and struck out 5.
Pee Dee Academy scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning, added 1 in the bottom of the second, and 4 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Dillon committed 5 errors in the game, and Pee Dee did not commit any.
The Golden Eagles’ Garrett McDaniels and D. J. Atkinson each connected for a double in 2 at-bats while McKinley Smith picked up a rbi on a single in 3 at-bats. Jesse Lane garnered 4 rbi on 1 hit in 3 at-bats.
