Coroner Donnie Grimsley has identified the man killed in the house fire on Dixie Court as Guy Lane, age 69, Dillon.
He was a veteran and was the retired owner of a body shop.
On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at approximately 7:24 a.m. Dillon County 911 received a call in reference to a structure fire on Dixie Court in Dillon, said Cliff Arnette, Captain at the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Dillon County Fire Departments Station 1 and 4 were dispatched to the structure fire on Dixie Court. During the firefighting efforts, a body was located in the residence.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the Dillon County Coroner were dispatched to the scene. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Coroner’s Office, and SLED are investigating the fire.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley had not released the identity of the victim at press time.
