The Dillon District Three (Latta) budget was presented at the Dillon County Board of Education meeting.
Dr. John Kirby gave a synopsis of the budget. The general fund budget totals $10,839,556.
The budget highlights include:
–“Revenue adjusted based on proposed local, state, and federal funds.”
–“Expenditure of $70,000 added for salaries due to potential federal cut.”
–“Additional adjustments for retiree staff, extra duty, and new hires.”
–“Position added for Latta Middle School art.”
–“Absorbed positions of one Latta Elementary School fourth grade teacher and two JROTC instructions.”
–“Fund balance reserve revenue of $296,000 added for two lease payments.”
The budget was approved.
