Marlboro Academy returned home on Thursday, April 25, with an 18-2 win in the run-ruled 4-inning game over Dillon Christian School in varsity softball.
Marlboro Academy managed 12 hits while holding Dillon to 6 hits in the game.
Marlboro’s Laney McLaurin was perfect at the plate with home run, a single, and 3 rbi. Sara White connected for a double and 5 rbi in her 4 at-bats. Savannah Barber had a single and 2 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Makayla Parks was also perfect at the plate with 2 hits and a rbi in 2 at-bats.
Dillon Christian School’s Cattie Eggert was perfect at the plate with 2 hits and a rbi in 2 at-bats. Savannah Sherman had a triple and a rbi in 2 at-bats.
Dillon Christian School committed 6 errors in the game. Marlboro Academy did not commit an error.
Ragan Liles picked up the win. She pitched 2 innings and did not allow a hit, a run, or walk anyone, and struck out 2.
Lindsay Branch was charged with the loss. She pitched 2 innings and allowed 7 hits, 11 runs of which 7 were earned, walked 2, and struck out no one.
Dillon Christian School hosted Fairmont on Monday, April 29, for the last game of the regular season.
