A private graveside service for Ernest Edward Church was held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Church, 75, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
Born in Robeson County, NC, April 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Charles Monroe Church and Mary Grace Collins Church. He was a loving father and enjoyed his family. He loved three schnauzers that set with him everyday, and he loved fishing and working in his yard. He is a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his three daughters, Belynda (Michael) Harmon of Ridgeway, SC, Melissa (Gary) Brown of Hayes, NC, and Lori (Michael) Albers of Lexington, SC; three grandsons, Anthony “Tony” Mattox, Donovan (Brook) Brown, and Dokato Albers.
Mr. Church was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Causey Church; and his two sisters, Elizabeth Cox and Helen Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 405 Mt. Calvary Rd., Dillon, SC 29536, or to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536.
