Memorial services for Stephen Theo “Sonny Boy” Owens was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held 1:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Owens, 62, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at MUSC Health Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, December 28, 1957, he was the son of the late Theo Owens and Annie Ruth Hayes Owens.
Survivors include his estranged wife, Leesa Shannon; children, Aaron (Katherine), Amber and Jessica; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Pat Gerald (Malcolm), Gail Whittington (Andy), Teresa Lucas (Jay), Wendy Wethington (Lawrence), Kenny Owens (Sarah), along with numerous nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, Theo & Annie Ruth Owens; maternal grandparents, Humbert & Lela Hayes; paternal grandparents, Gary Owens and Mary Owens Turner.
