Mrs. Thelma J. Mobley, 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Pruitt Healthcare in Dillon after an illness.
Thelma was born January 26, 1920 in Marion County, SC, a daughter of the late John W. Jackson and Inez Coward Jackson. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and retired from Dixiana Mills.
Surviving Thelma is: her daughter, Thelma Ann Burns of Dillon; her son, Johnny (Iris) Taylor of Dillon; daughter-in-law, Patsy Taylor; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Mobley; son, Bruce Taylor; granddaughter, Suzanne Taylor; sisters, Evelyn (Benny) Hyatt, Eva (Marvin) Hodges and Mary (Luther) Porter; brothers, Lahone (Grace) Jackson, Julian (Mattie) Jackson, Lim (Mattie) Jackson and Clyde (Dorothy) Jackson. Graveside services were held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Rev Chris Alderman will officiate.
