Mr. Michael William Allen, 62, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 21, 2020, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Dillon County, SC, on August 31, 1957, he was a son of William Billy Allen, Jr. and the late Patsy Ruth Herring Allen. He was a 1976 graduate of Dillon High School, a member of Dillon Second Baptist Church and was retired from the SC DOT in 2002. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing Putt-Putt, going on cruises, eating ice cream, and hanging out with the guys at Bo-Jangles for breakfast.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Allen of their home in Dillon; father, Billy Allen of Dillon; his twin brother, Mitchell Allen of Dillon; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great- nephews.
Funeral services was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Dillon Second Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
