Phillip “Phil” Reagan Huggins, 84, of Lake View, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Phil was born in Fork, SC on June 30, 1936 to the late Clardy and Sarah Rouse Huggins. He was a graduate of Lake View High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy serving aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. He was a member of Lake View United Methodist Church and the longtime owner of The Trading Post in Lake View. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his famous garden.
Phil is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann Page Huggins; a daughter, Joni Huggins-Spivey of Dillon, a son Russ Huggins of Lake View; four grandchildren, Jason Spivey (Raegan), Heather Huggins (Todd), Kyle Spivey (William), and Brandon Huggins; five great-grandchildren, Annsley Huggins, Ayden Huggins, Eden Spivey, Tatum Spivey and Roland Spivey.
He is also survived by one sister, Lillian Page. He was preceded in death by his sister Miriam Rogers.
Due to COVID-19, his memory and life will be celebrated during a private family memorial.
