The Green Sea Floyds Lady Trojans returned home on Friday, February 5, after suffering a 40-15 loss to the Lake View Lady Wild Gators in Lake View.
After one quarter of play, the Lady Wild Gators had a commanding lead, 18-2 over the visitors. By halftime, Lake View was up 18-8. After 3 quarters of play, the Lady Wild Gators had a 30-15 lead.
Lake View’s Jaleya Ford had a game-high 11 points on four 2-point baskets and 3 free throws while Gwendasia Page placed 10 points onto the scoreboard on four 2-point baskets and 2 free throws. Ja’Niyah Waters connected on four 2-point baskets and a free throw for 9 points while Zan’Dasia McNeil connected on three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Sa’Nyah Williams hit two 2-point baskets for 4 points.
Green Sea Floyds’ Shireona Johnson scored 8 points on two 2-point baskets and 4 free throws. Jyshae Pope connected for 3 points on a two-point basket and a free throw. Bailey Clemons sank a 2-point basket while S. Hilliard and Dee Dee Boyd each garnered a point a the charity line.
The Lady Trojans committed 4 fouls in the first half and 7 fouls in the second half while the Lady Wild Gators committed 8 fouls in the first half and 5 fouls in the second half.
