Bobby A. Humphrey, 79, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 11, 2015.  He was the son of A.J. and Hazel Price Humphrey.  He was born in Marion County, SC on June 14, 1936.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church with burial in Lake View Cemetery.  Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home.
He was a lifelong Dillon County Farmer always enjoying crops growing.  He was a founding member of the Lake View Young Farmers Organization.  Years later, he was a member and president of the Dillon County Farmers.  Also, a member of Board of Directors for Farm Bureau for 36 years.
He helped build Little Pee Dee State Park from its beginning.  The Park System was under the S.C. Forestry at that time.  He was active in his church, Piney Grove Baptist, and served on many committees including Deacon.  He attended faithfully despite failing health.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Brown Humphrey of Lake View; children, Timothy D. Shelley, Denise Stroud (C.E.) of Fork, Susan Elliott (Jeff) of Dillon and Jamie (Elaine) of Latta; grandchildren, Roxanne S. Ball (Jonathan), Leigh Anne Shelley, Brittany Elliott, Miranda Danielle Shelley, Melissa Shelley, Taylor Griffin, Brooke Griffin and Sky Turbeville and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Humphrey (Linda) of Dillon and Ralph Humphrey of Lake View; sisters, Carolyn Brumbles of Lake View and Emily Eller of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marvin Humphrey.
