Services for Jimmie Martin will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Martin, 74, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Dewey Martin and Earline Berry Martin. He was the Owner and Operator of Wholesale Tire, Dillon, SC, he attended the Dillon Church of God, and was a loving husband, father, brother, proud and loving Pop. He loved fishing and work, and playing his guitar, and loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Emma G. Martin of Dillon; daughters, Terri (Larry) Sangder of Seattle, WA, Bobbie Haberstitch of Dillon, Judy (Todd) Sangder of Seattle, WA, and Joy Alderman of Dillon; sons, Lester Martin of Dillon, Larry Martin, Tim (Karen) Jones, Eric Martin, and Robbie Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed (Lannie) Martin, Dewey Martin, and Clayton Martin, all of Dillon.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his son, Robert Jones; parents, Dewey & Earline Martin; sisters, Betty Jean Arnette, Nita Curavo, Linda Martin; brothers, Percy, Thurston, Donald, and Reedy Martin.
