Services for Douglas Horne, Sr., will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Horne, 73, died January 2,  2016 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Leonard Horne and Alberta McDaniel Horne.  He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Douglas (Robyn) Horne, Jr. of Pageland, SC, and Alan Maxwell (Joy Brady) Horne of Waxhaw, NC; granddaughters, Ashley Marie Horne Lucas (Eddie), and Kristin Ilene Horne; 4 great-grandsons, Tommy Lucas, Joshua Lucas, Adam Lucas, and Jericho Starnes; brothers and sisters, Leroy Horne of New York, Junior Horne, Mike Horne, Sonny Horne, all of Charlotte, NC, Mary Ann Totherow of Fort Mill, SC, Frances Bullard of Marion, SC, Sherry Horne of Gastonia, NC, and Gerry Horne of Florida.
Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Rose Bishop Horne.
