Services for Joann McKellar were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Miss McKellar, 71, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center.
Born in Dillon County, SC, November 11, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Evans McKellar and Louise Jackson McKellar Brown.  
She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was retired from DHEC Home Health as an Administrative Assistant.  
She graduated from Dillon High School, and Pembroke State University in 1971, and she attended the University of South Carolina.  
Her hobbies included writing poetry.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry (Linda) McKellar of Dillon; sister, Judy (Bobby) Turbeville of Dillon; several  nieces and nephews.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Johnny McKellar.
