Roger H. Hooks, 73, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at his residence after an illness.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Born in Marion County, May 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Ambrose Hooks and Vernice Rogers Hooks.  He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Elsie McKenzie Hooks of Hamer; sons, Kevin H.  (Devon) Hooks of Hamer and Gregg (Linda) Hooks of Florence; daughters, Christie Hooks and Sherlyn Benson both Florence; niece, Cindy Hooks of Mullins; grandchildren, Noah & Nicholas Hooks, Kayla Hill, Christa & Cole Benson, and Keenan Hooks.
