Services for Robert “Lowell” Jackson will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson, 73, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after a sudden illness.
Born on March 6, 1942 in Dillon he was the son of the late Robert Knox Jackson and the late Kathleen Huggins Jackson. Lowell was a humble dedicated Christian man. He taught Sunday School, and worked with youth in the church. He was a member of Dothan Baptist Church. He was a faithful loving father, grandfather, and brother. He worked as Manager of Super Test Service Station and later worked at Dillon Meat Center.
Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Herring (Randy), of Marion, and Robin Jackson of Latta, SC; brother, Pastor Alvin Jackson of Loris, SC; grandsons, Cory Herring and Ethan Stephenson; granddaughter, Haley Herring; many loving nieces and nephews.
