ST. PAUL’S, NC – Edmund Jackson, 85, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House, Lumberton, NC. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Sellers, SC conducted by Rev. Christopher H. Daniels. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Mr. Jackson was born in Latta, SC on October 16, 1930, the son of the late Robert Edmund and Sally Jackson. He was a retired Dumptruck driver for Wimpies Trucking. Edmund was the widower of Ruth Graves Jackson and of the Holiness faith.
Edmund is survived by his son, Robert “Dutch” Jackson; daughter, Sheila Jackson Cox; grandchildren, Amy Parker, Allison Mena, Brigitte Panaccione (fiance, John Titka), Sharon Hughson (Brian) and Stephen Parker; great grandchildren, Michaela Parker, Jamie Parker, Melody Parker, Drew Panaccione and Sydney Panaccione; daughter-in-law, Camille Russo Parker; and special friend and caregiver, Cynthia Alexander.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
