Services for James Huston Hyatt, Sr. will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Hyatt, 64, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Johnny L. Hyatt and Eula Gaddy Hyatt. He was a devoted member of the Dillon Church of God, and member of the South Carolina National Guard. He was also devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Gail Hyatt of Hamer; son, James Huston “Jamie” Hyatt, Jr. (Trinket) of Hamer; grandchildren, Lindsay Grace Hyatt, and James “Tripp” Hyatt, III; brothers and sisters, Sarah Freeman, Geneva (Richard) Snyder, both of Bennettsville, Jerry (Sallie) Hyatt of Hamer, and Andy (Teresa) Hyatt of Dillon.
Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeanette Owens; and his brothers, Gerald Hyatt, Johnny Wayne Hyatt, and Tommy Hyatt.
