On Wednesday, October 12, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a structure fire on Nelson Drive in the Riverdale Community of Dillon in reference to two individuals at the residence who were deceased, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival of law enforcement Dillon County Fire Department Station 1 and 4 were on the scene of a structure fire where two individuals were found inside the residence dead.
The fire department was dispatched around 2:00 a.m.
The fire and deaths are being investigated by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Coroner’s Office and Sled. Coroner Grimsley has ordered an autopsy on the bodies.
Deputies assisting at the scene and investigation are Zane Bryant, Luke Brunson ,Glenn Coates,Investigators Shannon Grainger, Reggie Thompson, and John Thompson, and Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
