The historic Edwards House (circa 1890), 1104 North Marion Street, Latta, was beautifully decorated for the Latta Town of home sponsored by the Latta Revitalization Commission. Built by Daniel Washington Biggs, owner of a large local sawmill, as a place to board northern lumber buyers visiting his mill, it was operated as a boarding house for several years before being bought by Dr. Henry Edwards, one of the first town doctors. The Magnolia Garden Club decked the halls of the home in the Colonial Williamsburg fashion with live greenery and other natural materials.
